Tornadoes Tear Through Oklahoma, Killing at Least Four

Severe Storms Bring Devastation to Rural Town

100 Injuries Reported As State Declares Emergency

Tornadoes that swept through Oklahoma on Saturday have left a trail of destruction, killing at least four people and injuring 100 others. The town of Sulphur in eastern Oklahoma was hit particularly hard, with video footage showing flattened homes and overturned vehicles.

The Oklahoma emergency management office said the tornadoes formed near Sulphur and moved to the north-northwest for 12 miles before lifting 5 miles south of Stratford. The storms also caused significant damage in several other counties, and Governor Kevin Stitt has declared a state of emergency in 12 counties.

The National Weather Service is continuing to assess the damage and search for any additional victims. The Red Cross and other relief organizations are on the scene to provide assistance to those affected by the storms.
