At least three tornadoes have touched down in the Chicago area on Wednesday night, causing damage to homes and uprooting trees. The National Weather Service has confirmed the reports.

A powerful storm system moved across the Midwest on Monday, spawning multiple tornadoes. One tornado was reported to have touched down just outside of Chicago, prompting passengers at O'Hare Airport to seek shelter.
The National Weather Service is urging residents to be prepared for more severe weather as the storm system continues to move through the area. Warnings have been issued for possible tornadoes, hail, and lightning.
