Dennys Closing 15 Restaurants But Ceo Boasts Way To Bring Customers Back

Dennys Restaurants Shutting Down Across the US

Company Closes 15 Locations with More Closures Anticipated

CEO Remains Optimistic Despite Closures

Dennys, the iconic breakfast and lunch chain, has closed 15 restaurants in recent months, with the potential for more closures on the horizon. According to the company, the closures occurred between April and June, affecting locations in Medford (Oregon), Columbia (South Carolina), and Sacramento (California). Additionally, Dennys has permanently closed 15 stores in New York, resulting in the layoff of 524 workers.

Despite the closures, Dennys CEO Kelli Valade remains confident. The company plans to revive its value menu, offering classic meal deals that have proven popular with customers in the past. Valade believes that this move will help attract diners and boost sales.

Franchisee Feast American Diners LLC filed Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARN) in connection with the closures. The company attributed the closures to declining sales and increased labor costs.

Customers may have noticed a reduced number of Dennys restaurants in their area. The company is simplifying its menu layout and minimizing customizations in an effort to improve efficiency.
